Seminar with Sensei Ray Payne

Kerry Shotokan Karate school hosted a very successful training camp in St Marys Parish Hall, Killarney on Saturday 22nd June. Sensei Ray Payne (7th Dan SKIF)
attended as guest instructor to some 45 students who had travelled from Bandon, Kenmare and Dingle. Sensei Payne acquired his first black belt in 1977, and since
then has been active practising and teaching Karate.

Sensei Charles Neri (Kerry Shotokan Karate school) who was responsible for organising the event, described Sensei Payne as an “inspirational instructor who was able to motivate all seminar participants, young and old alike”, and marked it a great event for the school.

Following the training, some 40 karatekas undertook grading. Well done to all concerned!
